Glo-sponsored African Voices treats viewers to Africa’s culinary delights
This week’s edition of the Globacom-sponsored magazine programme, CNN African Voices, will treat viewers to the best of Africa’s culinary delights.
According to CNN International, the winning recipe to make it big in the food industry requires more than just a passing knowledge of cooking. It requires ingredients like endless imagination and an intimate knowledge of how flavours work together, the leading news channel stated.
In the episode, the profiles of three culinary experts will be showcased to viewers. They include Nigeria’s master baker, Uzo Orimalade, Kenya’s celebrity chef, Kiran Jethwa, and Morocco’s leading restauranteur, Reda Fakir.
CNN describes Nigeria’s Orimalade as one baker finding sweet success with her Nigerian inspired treats, while Jethwa is said to be drawing on his roots and whipping up delicious dishes for his audience in Nairobi. On the other hand, Fakir, an international DJ-turned-restauranteur, is hoping his restaurant will put Morocco’s capital, Rabat, on the culinary map.
Uzo Orimalade is the Creative Director of Cupcake Couture – a boutique bakery that specializes in creating delicious baked treats as well as Managing Director of Uzo’s Food Labs – a growing Food and Home Entertainment company that offers recreational classes to individuals and companies as well as providing consulting services across several areas to the hospitality industry.
