Flamingoes soar past Sure Babes in test game

Nigeria’s U17 women’s team, the Flamingoes, defeated Sure Babes of Ilorin 3-0 in a test game played in Abuja on Tuesday.
Impressive skipper Rashedat Ajibade fired a brace as the Flamingoes showed great promise ahead of next month’s U-17 World Cup in Jordan next month.
They are expected to play another warm-up game on Thursday at the same venue.
There is also a proposal for the team coached by Bala Nikyu to test their readiness for the World Cup with international friendlies with Ghana and Cameroun as likely opponents.
Flamingoes are drawn in the first round of the World Cup with Brazil, England and Korea.
