FIRS:Telecom companies are biggest winners of Lockdown
…urges for Tax payment
The Federal Inland Revenue Service has stated on Saturday that telecommunications companies are the biggest winners of the lockdown.
It stated this on Twitter while responding to Nigerians reactions when they called for timely tax payment from telecos in order to meet up with provision of palliatives for Nigerians.
Recall that FIRS made a statement 6 April, urging Telecoms, banks, Supermarkets and others who according to them are booming in business during this Lockdown.
Telecomm Cos are the biggest winners of the lockdown. People make more calls and buy more data than they used to; supermarkets stocking and restocking like never before. Why? Because demand on stock is more than usual. Isn't it only fair and patriotic that they pay their taxes?
