First Bank, others, qualify for Zenith Bank B/ball League Final

The 2016/2017 season of the 13th Zenith Bank Women Basketball League has come to its climax with eight teams qualifying for the fourth phase which actually is the last phase billed to dunk-off in Lagos this weekend.

Delta Force Basketball team happened to be among the teams that qualified in their Group B category as disclosed by the Secretary to the Delta State Basketball Association, Faith Okoh Baya.

She said that four teams qualified for the final phase of the 13th Zenith Bank Women Basketball League in Group B while another set of four teams qualified for the same League final in Group A.

Group A has First Bank who scored 20 points to lead the table, followed by IGP Queens with 17 points. First Deep Water came third with 16 points and Plateau Rocks made up the needed numbers with 13 points.

Dolphins led Group B with 20 points, while Customs followed close with 18 points.

Delta Force got the third position in the Group with 15 points to secure the final ticket. These eight teams are expected to be on fire as they battle for the coveted League crown.
