Fidson set to reward brilliant kids in 2017 Astymin competition

Nigeria’s leading pharmaceutical company, Fidson Healthcare Plc, through its Astymin brand, is set to reward 200 best-performing kids from different public and private primary schools across the south-west and South-eastern zones in its 2017 edition of Astymin Brilliance Reward(ABR) aimed at promoting academic excellence among children.
This year’s edition of ABR competition which is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR),is scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at the Ndubuisi Kanu Park, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
Speaking at a press briefing on the forthcoming programme in Lagos on Wednesday, General Manger of Fidson Healthcare Plc,Mr Friday Enaholo, said the primary six pupils that the programme is targeted at, will once again be rewarded for their academic excellence, thereby enhancing their mental and academic performances.
According him, the kids will be recognized and rewarded with certificates of excellence and valuable prizes.
Giving insight into the programme, Enaholo said: “We believe it is better to catch them young and put them on the right path to success.
“Therefore, Astymin will continue to take the giant stride in rewarding brilliant primary school kids in a way that motivates them to stay focused on their studies, believing that merit and hard work can still be rewarded”.
Enaholo noted that in its resolve to build on the success of previous editions and its impact on children’s academic development and performance in the last seven years, this year’s edition will witness the use of a new and unique venue for converging the new set of best graduating pupils as well as parents, teachers and stakeholders in the Nigerian educational system.
Ndubuisi Kanu Park, he said, is a bigger venue that offers a significant distinction from the norm, with more child-friendly ambience that will give the children a unique experience, stressing that the children will have more room for fun in addition to more games to play with.
“Like we have always emphasized, the ABR is our attempt to bring back the glory days of our education by throwing our weight behind the children’s drive for academic excellence. This is another season of delight for the kids who have worked so hard and perform exceptionally in their academics; but for us as a brand, it is another day of celebrating excellence”, he said.
In her remarks, Astymin School Programme Coordinator, Fidson Healthcare Plc,Mrs Yetunde Adesola,said the 200 pupils were drawn from private and public schools in nine states across the country, namely; Lagos, Ogun,Ekiti, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Delta, Anambra and Enugu,affirming that the programme provides avenue for academic networking among the kids which further enhances their performance.
To Mr Tunde Balogun, Product Manager Over-The-Counter (OTC) of the company, Astymin helps kids to become brilliant and exceptional in their studies.
