FGGC Sagamu Alumni to hold reunion, renovate Alma Mater

The United States branch of the Old Students Association of Federal Government Girls College (FGGC) Sagamu is to hold a reunion and fund raising programme toward for the renovation of infrastructure, provision of learning equipment in its alma mater and to improve welfare of its members.
In a release, the association disclosed that preparation had commenced for the 2016 reunion and fund raising event which would hold in Atlanta on April 30, 2016, adding that the event would be a follow-up to the 5th FGGC Sagamu Alumni Reunion in the USA, which took place on April 25, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency in Bethesda Maryland.
The statement said the US chapter had also successfully provided basic learning infrastructure, books and upgrade of the school library among others.
It added that several members, and sister organisations across the globe had been provided with medical assistance programme and paid medical costs, including surgical fees for alumnus with cancer.
The FGGC Sagamu US Alumni branch was established in July 2011 and registered as non-profit organisation with major goals of bringing together and leveraging networks to raise funds and resources to support the Alma mater.
The alumni association appealed for support and partnership from alumni and well-meaning individuals Nigerians toward the full execution and success of the upcoming programmes.
