FG appoint Peterside as new DG NIMASA

 

The Federal Government  has appointed Dakuku Peterside as the Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency. On Thursday, in Abuja.

In a statement signed by the Director, Press and Public Relations,of the Ministry of Transportation, Mrs. Yetundue Sonaike, said the appointment takes immediate effect.

Peterside was the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the April 11 governorship election in Rivers State and a close ally of the Minister of Transport, Chief Rotimi Amaechi.

He was a member of the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015 and served as the Chairman House Committee on Petroleum Resources, downstream

He holds doctorate Degree in Management Science from the University of Port Harcourt, a Master of Business Administration, and a Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology.
