The extraordinary cast of Genevieve Nnaji’s directorial debut

Genevieve Nnaji’s upcoming movie “Lion Heart” possesses the kind of cast we haven’t seen on screen in a very very long time.
Genevieve Nnaji continues to steadily expand her filmmaking prowess with her directorial debut in “Lion Heart,” but that is not the only exciting thing about the movie.
Aside from her directorial debut, another attraction is an awesome array of acting award winners and pop culture icons – the kind we haven’t seen in a while.
However, considering Nnaji’s influence in the pop culture, one would have expected more. But then, there wasn’t an aggressive marketing for “Road to Yesterday.” Just a little more push and the movie would have been twice as successful.
For her upcoming movie “Lion Heart,” Nnaji already has a lot working in her favour.
She is making her directorial debut – you don’t even have to be a fan to stroll into the cinema to see what she has created as a first-timer.
She is aslo sharing quite a lot on social media – an official Instagram account for the movie has been sharing sneak peeks, like this one of Onwenu solemnly holding hands with Nnaji, looking every part of an on-screen mother and daughter pair.
Most importantly, she has assembled such a beautiful cast that makes it difficult not to anticipate.
Nnaji has done an amazing job in assembling such vivid performers, who are popular for pulling their audience into most of their projects with their delivery skills.
The upcoming movie which is written by C.J Fiery Obasi based on a screenplay by Ishaya Bako and Emil Garuba, follows the story of an Igbo family that is into transport business.
“LionHeart” is Nnaji’s second movie from her production company, The Entertainment Network (TEN), which was founded by Nnaji in partnership with Chinny Onwugbenu.
