Ex- member of Occult Group Fails To Honour Police Invitation, Flees To Evade Arrest

Barely 3 months after the tragic murder of a 36-years old medical doctor of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital by assassins in his apartment in G.R.A in Benin City, strong indications emerged that the police are closing on the alleged assassins.

Recall that a 36-year old doctor of Opthalmology department of the University of Benin, Dr.Otote Osaikhuomwan was gruesomely murdered in cold blood in the presence of his wife by assassins who broke into his G.R.A apartment in Benin City on February 14th 2022.

The assassins shot him right in the chest instantly killing him on the spot as the recent murder of the medical doctor has raised concerns over the safety and security of health care providers in the country which continually leads to massive brain drain in the sector

As concerted efforts in unravelling the identity of the killers of the medical doctor continue, an ex-member of the dreaded occult society known as Osokpikan society is allegedly suspected to have masterminded the tragic murder.

Osayande Osarumwense, a former member of a dangerously occultic group has allegedly been implicated in the murder of February 14th of a medical doctor in Benin City .

A statement by the Edo State Command of the Nigerian Police recently claimed that investigation into the murder case of the medical doctor was ongoing.

The Edo State Command of the Nigerian Police in a statement made available to journalists in Benin City said one Osayande Osarumwense who was a former member of an occult group known as Osokpikan society was invited for questioning over the murder case but refused to turn up for the invitation.

It further stated that the medical doctor was murdered in his G R.A residence in Benin City on February 14th 2022 by some assassins suspected to have been hired by one Osayande Osarumwense.

According to the statement, the assassins shot him dead in the chest after breaking into his apartment in the presence of his wife.

Meanwhile, Osayande Osarumwense, according to information made available, was a former member of the Osokpikan society who unceremoniously cut ties with the occult group .

He was said to have joined the dangerous occult group shortly after the murder of his siblings and his father who was also a member of Osokpikan society.

It was gathered that the leadership of Osokpikan society in the state, shortly after his unceremonious exit, cautioned him(Osayande) against his decision to renounce his membership which according to them would incur their wrath.

At the time of this report, the Edo State Command of the Nigerian Police had placed a ransom of 1 million naira for any information that could lead to the arrest of the fleeing Osayande Osarumwense .
