GEEP

Abia Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu says the Enyimba economic city project will redefine the economies of the South East states and the West African sub region when completed.

Ikpeazu who was speaking at a special church service at the Dominion City Church, Azuka street, Umungasi, Aba, stated that the major problem of constant power cited as hindrance to the establishment of the city in Aba has been taken care of with the buying of the Geometric power plant by a Chinese investor.

He further disclosed that by October, the Chinese company which has already signed an MOU with the state for the project will be arriving to start something and called for prayers from the church so that the licence for the city can be signed.

The Governor lauded churches in the country for playing key role in the stability and peace of the country noting that it is the impact of the church that has reduced youth restiveness in the Niger Delta and other parts of the country.

In a sermon, Rev Dr David Ogbueli described the Igbos as very knowledgeable and creative set of people who can manufacture virtually everything.

He expressed joy that Aba is emerging again as things are happening, pointing out that his prayer is that Abia will become the leading state in the South East.
