Enugu Rangers hold victory parade on Saturday

The Flying Antelopes will celebrate their league title feat with fans on Saturday in major roads and streets of the state
Enugu Rangers have concluded plans to have a victory parade and carnival round some major roads and streets of Enugu on Saturday morning aimed at celebrating their league title win with their fans and well-wishers.
The Flying Antelopes won the league title for the first time in 32 years two weeks ago after a 4-0 drubbing of El -Kanemi Warriors and they are looking forward to rejoicing with their fans.
“Rangers players and officials will hold victory parade and carnival round some major roads and streets within Enugu metropolis on Saturday starting from 7am,” said director of media and publicity, Foster Chime.
“The take off point will be the players’ temporary camp at Emene with a motorcade that will pass through Abakpa Nike, Trans Ekulu, GRA, Ogbete, Main Market, Coal Camp, Agbani Road, Eso Bus Stop, Zik’s Avenue, Con Oilby Edinburgh road through Obiagu Road.
“ Other places to be touched are Onu Asata, Nza street, Independent Layout, New Heaven, Ogui Road and finally at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu later in the day.
“We want to celebrate with our fans who have remained patient all these years. They are the reason Rangers never lost hope even after over 30 years and after winning this title, we are dedicating it partly to them.”
Rangers won the league crown after amassing 63 points from 36 games and they will take part in next year’s Caf Champions League.
