Enugu APC Candidate Urges Electorate to Put Away Fear
An All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Enugu State House of Assembly, Mr Magnus Ozongwu, has urged Nigerians to put away the fear of insecurity on election day and come out to vote for the candidate of their choice.
He also threw his weight behind the use of the Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) as introduced by the electoral umpire. He maintained that the use of the PVCs would eliminate electoral fraud, adding that anyone opposing the idea was in support of corruption.
According to him: “If you fail to take a risk in life, you have started failing. We cannot sit in our homes and project insecurity. Your vote is your opinion; do not allow fear to overcome our democracy.
“No success can be achieved without taking a bold step by sacrificing our pleasures and businesses. Let us make that day a day of obligation for our country,” he said.
Ozongwu described the introduction of the PVCs as the best thing to happen in Nigeria’s electoral history.
He continued: “The introduction of the PVC is an excellent idea, because it will stamp out corruption and promote credible election that is free and fair.”
