Elections: Police Assures Electorate In Riverside Areas Of Adequate Security

Represented by DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mohammed said the demonstration was also being carried out in the air and on the waterways.
He explained that the exercise was
to let the electorate know that the security agencies were ready for the
general elections.
He, therefore, appealed to members
of the public to come out en-masse on Saturday to vote candidates of their
choice without any fear of molestation.
The Police Commissioner also said
that sensitive materials for the general elections had been moved to the 18
local government areas of the state, with adequate security arrangements.
He commended other security agencies
such as the NDLEA, Customs, DSS, NSCDC, Army, Immigration, Prison Service, and
FRSC for their support since the beginning of the exercise. (NAN)
The Edo Command of the Nigerian Police Force has assured electorate in the riverine areas of the state of adequate protection and security as they go out to vote on Saturday.

team of security agencies in the state.
