EKITI PDP CHIEF TO FAYOSE: YOU ARE NOT FIT TO BE NIGERIA PRESIDENT

‪Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Ekiti State, Hon. Opeyemi Falegan, has criticised Ekiti State Governor. Ayo Fayose over his statement that greatness of Nigeria would be built on his shoulders soon, saying “Fayose is only day dreaming” and not fit to be Nigeria President.

‪The United Kingdom based politician who spoke in a release made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti said, no arrogant or disrespectful leader no matter how rich or influential can be voted for, to lead the country.‬

‪Falegan said: “Except through a military coup which is no longer fashionable and acceptable in Nigeria and Africa in general, a leader of little or no respect for Elders can be allowed to rule the country”.‬

‪Falegan described the governor’s statement as only “a wishful thinking of a personality without pedigree and antecedent to actualise such dream”.‬

‪”Disrespect and arrogance being displayed by Gov. Fayose against some of the leaders in South West and Nigeria as a whole especially those he believes are not on the same political page with him is worrisome and shameful to Yoruba race.‬

‪”Unnecessary ranting, vulgarity and outburst of Ekiti State governor against elder statesmen like President Muhamadu Buhari; former President Olusegun Obasanjo; his benefactors, Chief Bode George, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, Sen.Buruji Kashamu, Sen. Clement Awoyelu and the late Ojo Falegan among others will at all times be an impediment to such a dream”.‬

‪”Yoruba people across the world are known for their respect, hard work, sincerity and humility before the Elders. Anybody who lacks any of the traits cannot represent the region as either a president or vice President of Nigeria.‬

‪”It is a wise saying that, ‘a good name is better than riches and gold’ and charity they say, begins at home. Anybody who cannot accord his kinsmen due respect, I think, is not capable to lead a population of over 170 million Nigerians, except we want to turn the country to a theatrical arena.‬

‪”The greatness of Nigeria depends on, competent and serious hands and not an experimental or comedian-like leadership. Governance is a serious business and Presidency for that matter, requires more seriousness, aptness and competence.‬

‪”It is therefore imperative for Nigerians to always fight for the enthronement of good governance at the central and all other levels. No meaningful development can be achieved without selfless leadership in power,” the PDP chieftain stated.‬

‪Falegan called on all Nigerians to continue to pray for President Buhari to return to Nigeria and complete his tenure in peace, saying no patriotic citizen will wish his fellow citizen especially President of his country dead.‬

‪He said: “Whether we like his face or not, the President remains a symbol of the nation, hence the need for all and sundry to be patriotic enough to always want the best for him and his family.‬

‪”It is not possible for President Donald Trump of the United States of America to love Nigeria than America and vice versa for President Buhari, therefore we must learn how to be our brother’s keeper in all situations. This is the only secret of many developed countries in the world,” he stated.‬
