The governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom, Obong Nsima Ekere has predicted that President Muhammadu Buhari will win the 10 federal constituencies of the state.
Ekere stated this shortly after casting his vote at Ward 1, Unit 004, Ikot Oboroenyin, Edemaya clan in Ikot Abasi local government area.
The APC candidate, who cast his ballot at about 10.48am after being accredited, hailed the
peaceful conduct of the elections in his unit, adding that reports from other polling units across the state indicated that the exercise was peaceful.
He said the APC had campaigned extensively across the state which explained the massive turnout of voters to vote President Buhari and candidates in the National Assembly elections.
Ekere, however, slammed chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state for hiring thugs to cause mayhem in the state.
