Edo Gov’ship: I will run a transparent, accountable government if elected – Omoragbon

The flagbearer of the National Conscience Party (NCP), in the forthcoming September 2020 governorship election in Edo state, Pastor Peters Osawaru Omoragbon has pledged to run a transparent and accountable government if elected into office.

He also promised that if elected as governor, he would ensure that every income of the state would be properly accounted for under extant laws in the country.
Speaking during his acceptance speech as the NCP flagbearer, Omoragbon who expressed disappointment with the rate of under development in the state said, he will ensure that things are done differently.
According to Omoragbon who served the country as a qualified nurse since 1983 said that he would ensure that food care, housing, energy , transport, health and security care are some of the first projects he would put in place for the people of the state.
He said; “I shall lead with all transparency and accountability and I can assure you that, if voted into power in September, every income of the state that has not been properly utilized by anyone will be accounted for under extant laws in the country.
“The National Conscience Party is the Party for the masses and of the masses. It is the only party in Nigeria that candidates do not pay any money to pick tickets to contest elections.

“That is where the corruption start. For, when you purchase a ticket to the tune of millions of naira, it is an open invitation to embezzlement of the state resources if voted.
“Suffice to mention that my program for the state development and growth shall be premised under the party’s manifestoes termed: ‘the ten care program namely: Food care, Housing Care, Energy care, Transport Care, Health care, Security Care, Employment Care, Education Care, Water Care”.
