Edo 2016: Obaseki assures good governance

The Chairman of the Edo State Economic Team and one of the leading contenders for the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming September 10 polls, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has vowed to give the state quality governance if he eventually emerges the governor.

He was speaking when he played host to members of a group, Organised Greater Edo Project, in his office on Thursday.

Obaseki averred that as regards taking the state to a higher level beyond what the incumbent governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, had achieved in less than ten years, he intended to give the state a qualitative leadership that every indigene of the state would be very proud of.

Obaseki promised that he would not resort to using the media to castigate any of his co-contenders as they had resorted to recently.

The leader of the group, Godwin Osakue, said that they decided to team up with Obaseki based on their belief that he had what it takes to better the lot of the people of the state.
