Economy: Bishop seeks divine intervention

The Bishop of Anglican Communion of Yola Diocese, Bishop Marcus Ibrahim Anfani said it is only prayers to God that will solve the economy hardship that is biting Nigerians.

Anfani, who said this to our correspondent in Yola, sympathised with Nigerians who at this time cannot afford three square meals in a day, however called on all and sundry to “go back to God for a solution”.

He likened the country’s situation to the Biblical olden days story of the famine in the land of Egypt during the reigns of King pharaoh, where God had to intervene through his servant Joseph to rescue the entire land.

He called on all Nigerians to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari who needs God’s touch to rescue us from the economy hardship.
