Dogara, others screen 9 Ondo PDP governorship aspirants

Nine governorship aspirants of the  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were on Thursday screened ahead of the July 22nd primaries.

The screening committee headed by the immediate past Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara had a whole day to do the assignment at the PDP national secretariat, Abuja.

Aspirants screened yesterday were, Dr.Eyitayo Jegede who flew the party’s flag in 2016; Sen. Boluwaji Kunlere ; Ondo state deputy governor, Dr. Agboola Ajayi; and former PDP Southwest Zonal Chairman, Dr. Eddy Olafeso.

Also screened were; Ben Banji Okunomo; Bode Ayorinde; Otunba Bamidele Akingboye; Mr. Godday Erewa and  Barr. Sola Ebiseeni.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the party had on Wednesday approved the nomination of the five man screening committee mandated to screen all aspirants for the upcoming 2020 governorship election in Ondo state.

Other members of the screening committee are; Rev. Bunmi Jenyo  who serve as Secretary to the committee,  Sen. Zainab Kure ,Hon. Fred Agbedi and Barr. Ndubuisi Agwuama.
