Delta Force stun Go-Round, go top of NNL Group B1

Delta Force Football Club of Asaba has climbed to the top of the Nigeria National League Group B1 after beating hard fighting Go-Round Football Club of Omoku, Rivers State by 2-0 at the Austin J.J. Okocha Stadium Ogwashi-Uku.
Delta Force opened scoring in the 31st minute of the grueling encounter after Samson Obi whipped in a David Ijeh pass to open his goal scoring account in the 2016 Nigeria National League season after facing a three-week draught in front of goal.
The pacy striker almost increased the tally for the Asaba-based outfit four minutes after scoring the opening goal but the goal-bound shot was blocked by a Go-Round defender.
The Coach Clifford Chukwuma-tutored side made it two in the 19th minute of the second half with Chukwuyem Dibia driving in a ferocious shot into the bottom right corner of the goal post after collecting a pass from another substitute Henry Adams whose first touch on the ball left the defence line of Go-Round napping, while Salami Yakubu the goalkeeper for Go-Round was left helpless.
The two players who were making their debut in the 2016 NNL could have made it three after a swift exchange of passes, but the goalkeeper for Go-Round had his hand to the ball.
