COVID-19: South Christian softball coach drops off surprise gift for each player

South Christian softball coach Tara Schreur could have sent an email, text or made a phone call. 

But none of those would do. 

The high school softball season has been cancelled, but that doesn’t mean Schreur isn’t thinking about her players. She did something extra special to let them know.

Schreur made special deliveries, dropping off a yard sign to all 13 Sailors Tuesday and planting them on their lawns. She made sure she snapped a photograph with each Sailor by her sign before heading off to the next house. South Christian’s athletic department’s Twitter account shared the photos.

Each sign included the player’s name and number.
