COVID-19: DALM Salutes Governor Dapo Abiodun on Combating Measures, Enjoins Citizens to Stay Safe
Members of DAPO ABIODUN LIBERATION MOVEMENT (DALM) in Nigeria and diaspora had commended the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and his pragmatic team from various ministries and agencies for series of steps they are taking to combat COVID-19 disease in the state.

According to a statement issued by the group and signed by the State Coordinator, Alhaji Abdulakeem Olalekan Ademolake on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 affirmed that “’the world is now confronted with a deadly COVID-19 pandemic which had posed a big threat to human race and its devastating impact is felt in virtually all filed of human endeavor.’’
Ogun state, according to the group coordinator is no exception among states affected by the killer virus which could be traced back to February 28, 2020 when the first case was spotted in the state.
Alhaji Abdulakeem on behalf of the group gave kudos to Ogun state government for swift emergency response and being proactive in preventing the spread of CIVID-19 ever since first index case was identified as Preventive, Containment and Treatment strategies are taking by Governor Dapo Abiodun led administration to put an end to the disease.
While speaking further on the measures taken to stop the spread of the virus, DALM State Coordinator thanked the governor, his team and health workers for several enlightenment campaigns on COVID-19 prevention, infection and control, restriction of movement in and out of the state and also for putting in place adequate isolation and treatment centres while making welfare provisions for members of the public during the stay at home orders.
From the foregoing, the group stated that the Governor has demonstrated good leadership qualities worthy of emulation through his unparalleled determination, great vision and strategic planning.
Therefore, the group enjoined members of the public particularly Ogun state citizens to ensure that they follow stipulated rules and regulations to forestall any break of laws and orders.
Also advised people to know that the most efficient ways to avoid getting infected are through regular hygienic and sanitary practices as well as social distancing..
Conclusively, the group admonished that ‘’combating COVID-19 is a collective responsibility of all and sundry as a result of this it is recommended individual form the habit of washing hands regularly with soap and water, coughing into a tissue or elbow, disinfecting used surfaces and strictly adhering to infection prevention control measures as COVID-19 is no respecter of any race, gender or age’’
