Covid-19: CJ okays special court proceeding in Abuja, Lagos, portharcourt

The chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice John Tsoho has directed that  special cases should continue before the Abuja, Lagos and  Port-harcourt division.

According to the directive issued on Friday April 10, 2020, the CJ directed Justice Nkeonye Evelyn Maha to preside for the Abuja division, Muslim Hassan, Lagos and Justice Hillary Oshomah for the Port-Harcourt Judicial Division.

The directive read: “Further to the earlier notice of the Federal High Court Easter  Vacation and consequent upon the  lockdown occasioned by the ravaging Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) with accompanying continuous  restriction of both vehicular and human movements as ordered  by both the Federal and State Governments, the Easter Vacation Roster has been amended.  

“Thus the underlisted Judges have been chosen to serve at the designated Judicial Divisions, across the six(6) Geo-Political Zones of Nigeria:

“Abuja Judicial Division: Justice Nkeonye Evelyn Maha Lagos Judicial  Division: Muslim Hassan, Lagos andJustice Hillary Oshomah, Port-Harcourt Judicial Division”. 

The directive made available to journalists by the Information Officer , Mrs Oby Catherine Nwandu is to take effect immediately.
