Coronavirus: Cain, US ex-presidential candidate is dead
Herman Cain, the Republican who ran for president of the United States of America (USA) in 2012, is dead.
Trump eulogized him on Thursday at the White House.
Cain passed on after contracting coronavirus. The 74-year-old was hospitalised on July 1 after he tested positive.
In 2006, Cain survived late-stage colon cancer.
On June 20, he appeared without a mask at a rally held by President Donald Trump in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
“He was a very special person… and unfortunately he passed away from a thing called the China virus.” Trump said.

Trump, in 2019, wanted him on the Federal Reserve Board, but Republican senators refused to endorse his appointment.
Daily Times gathered that the American leader eventually withdrew the nomination.
Former presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, has expressed sadness about the demise.
“Saddened that Herman Cain – a formidable champion of business, politics and policy – has lost his battle with Covid,” Romney said.
