Commuters, motorists groan as Ayobo- Ayetoro road worsens

Commuters and motorists plying Ayobo- Ayetoro road have lamented the deplorable state of the road.

Cross section of motorists and commuters who spoke to Daily Times disclosed that the deplorable state of the road have affected commercial activities within Ayobo – Ayetoro and its environs.

They appealed to the Lagos State government to urgently commence the repair of the road to alleviate their suffering.

A motorist Michael Olakunle said he had abandoned the road, due to its poor state, adding that he now resort to plying rural feeder roads to get to his destination.

He appealed to the Lagos state government to repair the road and safe the masses form further suffering.

He said: “This road have been here for so many years, the last administration promised to repair it but it was not done.

“It is becoming worse especially since the rain started, I have dumped my bus since morning, even yesterday that I worked, I took one small rural road. We are begging them to repair the road, we know they don’t pass through here.”
