Civic Innovation Lab makes its debut in Abuja

Indication has emerged that Civic Innovation Lab, a tech incubator and an accelerator programme, which enables start-ups that have ideas which can bring about social impact in the world, is to be unveiled on Friday, June 9 in Abuja.
The organisers, in a statement made available to Daily Times ,said Civic
Innovation Lab will offer startups a three-month incubation period, an awesome creative workspace and facilities to work, network, grow, relax and innovate in.
“Their main aim is to help tackle social and economic problems that run rampant in our modern society, as well as, the challenges faced by startups.
They have a tribe of amazing people committed to improving their environment and the way things are done, they are not afraid to challenge the status quo and think outside the box.
“The community at Civic Innovative Lab believes in leveraging technology and the government to help improve the social situation of the average Nigerian.
Their main purpose is to engage the ingenuity of citizens by facilitating public-private sector collaboration, through the use of social innovation, government support, open data and a facilitated design process.” He said.
There are a lot of tech startups with groundbreaking ideas that can tackle our nation’s challenges in different areas including
housing, health, education, transportation, job creation and many more, their aim is to connect the government with a variety of startups to implement and create long lasting changes and solutions.”
The Civic Innovative Lab which will be unveiled soon the statement added, is here to bridge the gap between solution providers and the leadership.
