Charly Boy tries to clean his shame, denies collecting ‘millions’ from Keyamo

Faced with barrage of verbal attacks from both his fans and haters, especially through the social media, musical icon and social crusader, Charles Oputa, also known as Charly Boy has denied collecting money from a Nigerian lawyer, Festus Keyamo, a spokesperson of the Buhari Campaign Organisation.

Charly Boy’s denial is coming following allegations by Deji Adeyanju, a member of “OurMumuDonDo” movement founded by the popular musician who is also known to the populace as ‘Area Father’ because of his fraternity with the downtrodden, mainly operators of commercial motorcycles or ‘Okada.’

Adeyanju, himself a social crusader had accused Charly Boy of socialising with the Buhari led administration while he was locked up in prison for over 70 days.

On his part, Charly Boy had earlier claimed that he collected not less than N100million from Keyamo for his politically motivated music in which he mocked both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), along with its presidential candidate in the 2019 election, former vice president, Atiku Abubakar.

But speaking to OAK TV on Tuesday, Charly Boy ate back his words, claiming that he did not collect any money from Keyamo or anybody for the song.

On his own side, Keyamo denied giving money to the entertainer and stated same through Twitter. “I’ve been having some good laugh. Whoever thinks that I would pay a penny for a song by @Areafada1 that…both the APC and PDP must have his/her head examined.

“If the quarrelling parties want to hurt their egos by bandying phantom figures, they should let me out of it.”
