Buhari wins in 19 LGAs of Bauchi amidst cancellation of 1 LG

President Muhammadu Buhari has secured victory in Bauchi state over his closest rival, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in 19 out of the 20 Local Government Areas of the state. However the presidential election results for Katagum was cancelled on the ground that it was not presented in four polling units in the Local Government, therefore, result were declared inconclusive in four polling units of Katagum, the Local government  left to be added to as there was no record to show for it. The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ibrahim Abdullahi and State Collation Officer Alhassan Ghali said in their findings that no proper account was given for the four polling units by the Collation Officer for Katagum Local Government, Prof. Demo Kalla. Buhari pulled 798, 428 votes to win his opponent, Atiku Abubakar who polled 209,313 also in the 19 Local government areas. The APC Presidential candidate who won in 19 Local Governments lost in Bogoro, the stronghold of the Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, where Atiku defeated him with 23,664 votes. But President Buhari also secured victory in Dass and Tafawa Balewa, also within the domain of the Speaker.
