Buhari will frown at electoral malpractice – Group

Kingsley Chukwuka, Jos
President Muhammadu Buhari will frown at electoral malpractice and not that anyone caught will be shot by the Army, says a group under the aegis of North Central APC Presidential Committee for the Re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari. The group said no government will tolerate ballot box snatching if a free credible election must be conducted. They also hold the view that offenders will be punished in accordance with the law, adding that the opposition People’s Democratic Party are already jittery and doing everything to rubbish Buhari’s good work by pitching the public against him. Speaking to Journalists yesterday in Jos, the Zonal Director Northcentral Special Duties of the APC, Mr. Sani Mudi said, come Saturday 23th February, the President will defeat Atiku Abubakar and the PDP, if the opposition will allow free and fair elections. “Presidential Buhari will not be happy with anyone who will want to engage in malpractices, that is why he ordered security operatives to watch against ballot box snatching.” Mudi who also call for high turnout of voters on Saturday, said last Saturday’s postponement was good for the victory of the party. He said Plateau state has benefited from the APC led President Buhari’s administration, saying that is an assurance that the President will win Plateau. “We in Plateau state have benefited a lot from the Muhammadu Buhari led administration from Agricultural revolution, welfare of citizens, particularly orphans and widows, infrastructures, particularly on road constructions, Plateau people are not left out.” Earlier, a member of the APC Presidential committee in Plateau state, Mrs Martina Kure, said the mandate of the committee is to ensure re-election of both President Buhari and Governor Simon Lalong to return to their respective offices, as President of Nigeria and governor of Plateau state.
