Buhari saved Nigeria from collapse in 1983, he’ll do it again, says Masari

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State, on Tuesday,  said that President Muhammadu Buhari, as Military Head of State in 1983, saved the nation from collapse.

He also urged Nigerians to pray for President Buhari to save Nigeria from the many problems currently plaguing the country.

Governor Masari made the call in a statement by his media assistant, Abdu Labaran Malumfashi.

In the statement, the governor said that there was no challenge that committed leadership and prayers could not overcome and solve. He also stated clearly that he had no single doubt in Buhari’s ability to solve Nigeria’s current problems.

Masari also said: “President Muhammadu Buhari is not new on this job, nor is the challenge new to him. In 1983, when the country was tottering on the brink of collapse he came in and salvaged the situation. “That passion and burning desire to serve selflessly are still in him. These are evident in the manner he is handling the economy and the security challenges confronting the country.

“God has brought him again to do that which he successfully did all those years back when economic and security challenges had all but brought the country down on its knees, and I am confident that he will do it if we give him the support and cooperation he requires. He needs our prayers too.”
