Buhari Represents Victory for a New Nigeria – Osinbajo
The All Progressives Congress (APC), in Ondo State, has described the emergence of General Muhammadu Buhari and his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, in last Saturday’s election, as a victory for a new Nigeria.
The party, in a statement issued by its state Publicity Secretary, Omo’ba Abayomi Adesanya, to journalists in Akure, said the emergence of General Muhammadu Buhari would restore the hope of the common-man and signal a robust government for the people.
Adesanya said the victory was worth celebrating and congratulated Nigerians on making a wise decision by electing the retired military man.
“Our country is very fortunate; we are proud and happy. It is a very rare feat; it is worth celebrating with so much happiness in our hearts.
We congratulate not only our party, but Nigerians on making this a reality,” he said. According to the statement, General Buhari’s victory should be celebrated by all and sundry, as the desired change has finally come, adding that the new president would not disappoint the people.
