Buhari renews appointments of FRSC boss, 5 other CEOs, announces new appointments

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal of the tenure of six Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Federal Agencies. The President has similarly approved the appointment of two new CEOs of Federal Agencies and one Senior Special Assistant.
The renewed appointments are: the Corps Marshal/ Chief Executive Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Dr. Boboye Olayemi Oyeyemi – Second and final term of four years with effect, from 24th July, 2018; National Hospital, Abuja, Dr. Jafaru Alunua Momoh
Chief Medical Director – Second and final term of four years, with effect, from 5th July, 2018.
Others are: National Orthopedic Hospital, Enugu State, Dr. Nwadinigwe Cajetan Uwatoronye, Medical Director – Second and final term of four years, with effect, from 30th May, 2018; Energy Commission of Nigeria, Prof. Eli Jidere Bala, Director General – Second and final term of five years with effect from 6th May, 2018.
National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), Dr. Mohammed Jibrin, Director General -Second and final term of four years with effect from 9th April, 2018 and Prof. Mohammed Haruna, Executive Vice Chairman, National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure for a Second and final term of five years with effect from 3rd April, 2018.
Meanwhile, the new appointments are: Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe, Gombe State, Dr. Ali Adamu – Provost Initial period of four years with effect from 25th May, 2018; and Dr. Yaya Baba Adamu was appointed Medical Director; Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, Nasarrawa State, – Initial period of four years with effect from 1st April, 2018.
The Presidency has also approved the appointment of Ambassador Yahaya Lawal as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and International Relations.
The federal government said that the appointment was with effect from 1st April, 2018.
The appointees were enjoined to live up to the high expectations of the public for prompt, conscientious and self-less service at all times. The President urged them to regard public offices as trust that should not be betrayed.
