BREAKING: Unknown Gunmen Abduct Benue University Students

Some students from the Federal University of Agriculture in Makurdi (FUAM) in Benue State have been kidnapped by gunmen.

The school authority announced on Monday that an unspecified number of students from the institution were taken away at gunpoint on Sunday.

Mrs Rosemary Waku, Director of the Information, Protocol and Public Relations Unit (IPPR), made the announcement in a statement made available to our Makurdi correspondent.

“On Sunday, April 25th, 2021, an unconfirmed number of FUAM students were kidnapped at gunpoint from the campus by unknown individuals.

“The incident has been confirmed to the police and other relevant security agencies by the University. After the tragic incident, the University has had no communication from the students or their captors.”

The news comes less than a week after Greenfield University, Kaduna, students were kidnapped on campus.
