BREAKING: FG reviews nationwide curfew

The federal government has reviewed the currently-in-force nationwide curfew occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic.

Daily Times gathered, following a social media post by President Muhammadu Buhari’s personal assistant on new media, Bashir Ahmad, who made the announcement on Twitter.

Recall that in line with the stipulations of the eased lock-down which followed a period of strict shutdown of social activities, the federal government had pronounced a daily curfew that was slated to last between the hours of 10pm-4am.

In what comes as a further easing of lockdown restrictions, the Federal government has now effected a slight shift in the timeline of the COVID-19 curfew which will see it last between the hours of 12 midnight to 4am.

Making the announcement on Twitter, Bashir said:

“JUST IN: The Federal Government has reviewed the nationwide COVID–19 curfew, it will now start from 12 midnight to 4am, the National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Dr Sani Aliyu, disclosed this today, during their briefing in Abuja”.
