Bolaji Ayorinde emerges as Oyo SDP governorship candidate

Renowned legal practitioner, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde (SAN, has emerged as the Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in Oyo State at the primaries held on Monday.

Ayorinde emerged by affirmation and a “YES” vote after he remained the sole aspirant as other likely aspirants had withdrawn to support his candidature .

After the event, the Chairman of SDP in Oyo State, Alhaji Kola Balogun, described Ayorinde’s emergence as a positive development for the party in Oyo State and for the emergence of Good Governance and Responsible Government in Oyo State.

He noted that it is very clear that the standard that the SDP flag bearer will be bringing to the Governance cannot be matched by any other candidate from any other party.

He said further that Ayorinde will be coming with not only professional excellence but also integrity of purpose and unblemished records in public service .

In his own reaction, Ayorinde pledged to dedicate himself to the emergence of a government that will enthrone social justice and equitable distribution of the resources of the State for the benefit of the residents.

He also pledged to make Oyo State the most attractive state to invest in Nigeria and also to make the State a “Haven” for good living.
