Boko Haram’s demand won’t affect military operations– CDS

Following the release of a video showing the Chibok schoolgirls abducted since April 14, 2014 by the Boko Haram sect, security chiefs yesterday met at the Presidential Villa to review the development.
Speaking with State House Correspondents shortly after the meeting, Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonishakin, on Monday, declared that the military would still continue with its operations.
On the demand of the Boko Haram sect that the government should release Boko Haram members in detention centres in exchange for the Chibok girls, Olonishakin said it was a political decision to be taken.
