Bisexual Escapee Dies In Mob Attack As Wanted Partner Flees
The crisis-ravaged community of Damboa in Borno state erupted in violence when angry mob comprising Islamic fundamentalists violently lynched to death a bisexual suspect who escaped from police custody during a jail break on July 6th 2019.
Recall that Chinedu Obi and Chigbo Samuel Umeh, his fleeing bisexual partner were rescued from a crowd of angry mob by policemen on patrol and held in custody while awaiting trial shortly after the two men were caught in the act of same-sex practice in the community on June 1st 2019.
However, a jail- break, organized by radical members of Boko-Haram in Damboa community during a prison invasion led to the escape of some members of the insurgents and other inmates including Chinedu Obi and Chigbo Samuel Umeh on July 6th 2019 as bomb explosions were heard during the prison invasion in Damboa.
An eyewitness in Damboa community disclosed that Chinedu Obi, who after his escape from custody attempted to reunite with his ailing father, met his untimely death shortly after the jailbreak in Damboa community in Borno state.
Speaking further, the eye-witness who craved anonymity, said that Chinedu Obi ran into a group of some members of the Islamic extremists who were part of the angry mob who had earlier unleashed terror on them after the sacrilegious act of June 1st 2019.
It was gathered that the angry mob violently unleashed terror on him before setting him ablaze using condemned tyres and fuel as the untimely arrival of local vigilante group could not save him from the mob attack as the mob scampered for safety to avoid arrest
Meanwhile, a reliable source in Damboa community disclosed that the fleeing Chigbo Samuel Umeh who was declared wanted by the police, fled from the community to an undisclosed location in order to avoid his re-arrest and prosecution accordance with the provisions of the Same-sex Marriage Prohibition Act 2013 which stipulates a minimum of 14-years imprisonment upon conviction .
