Big-game focus for Klopp, Hiddink

BRIEFS
Jurgen Klopp hopes Liverpool can continue to build a big-game culture at Anfield when Chelsea visit in the Premier League on Wednesday. The Reds are eighth, but still harbour hopes of European qualification via the league and will go above sixth-placed Southampton with a victory over the Blues. Liverpool are unbeaten in 12 home games under Klopp, a run that has featured dominant wins over Manchester City, Manchester United and Everton, as well as their enthralling Europa League successes against Borussia Dortmund and Villarreal.
Scholes critical of Man Utd style
Paul Scholes says Manchester United fans want to see more entertaining football under Louis van Gaal. United could yet enjoy a successful end to the season by qualifying for the Champions League and winning the FA Cup, but some feel Van Gaal’s tenure at Old Trafford has been defined by the prosaic nature of the football in comparison to that played under Sir Alex Ferguson. They have scored just 44 goals in 36 league games this season, the same as Bournemouth and 26 fewer than top scorers Manchester City, who occupy the final Champions League spot in fourth.
Bilic: I’ll miss Boleyn Ground!
West Ham manager Slaven Bilic reckons there will be a period of adjustment when the club completes the switch to the Olympic Stadium. The Hammers will play their final competitive match at the Boleyn Ground today when they entertain Manchester United on an emotional occasion for the home fans. And the east London club announced on Monday that more than 50,000 season tickets have been sold ahead of the relocation to their new home in the summer.
