AWCON Team of the Tournament: Oshoala & Oparanozie star as Cameroon dominate

The Nigerians successfully defended their crown in style, which is reflected as three of their players made it into our best team of the competition
Nigeria defeated Cameroon 1-0 in an entertaining African Women’s Cup of Nations final to make it eight triumphs in ten appearances.
The two finalists produced a string of strong performances to reach the last two at the expense of semi-finalists Ghana and South Africa, who also enjoy representation in the best XI.
Competition’s top scorer, Asisat Oshoala, Desire Oparanozie and Osinachi Ohale are the only Nigerians in the team, with Alaba Jonathan and Francesca Ordega making the substitutes bench.
While Cameroon boast of four players, Ghana and South Africa contribute two players each.
