How Aunt Landa, Alibaba Provided for Over 14,000 Lagosians in 1 Day

Humanitarian Dr Yolanda N. George-David, popularly known as Aunt Landa, and comedian Alibaba provided over 14,000 Nigerians with their basic needs at the Aunt Landa Market Square which took place last Saturday, 23rd of September, 2017 at Havilah Event Centre, Yaba Lagos.

This edition themed ‘ALSolesForSouls’ was geared towards putting smiles on the faces of the under-privileged, especially school kids whose parents cannot afford to send them to school.

The organisers of the event saw to it that attendees were properly fed and provided adequately with food items, medical check-up, hair clippers, sewing and grinding machines to start-up businesses, clothes, laptops, all for free. Back-to-school items such as sandals, bags, and stationery were given to the children, and some exceptional kids were awarded with scholarships.

Speaking on the number of people that showed up at the event, Servant-In-Charge of ‘Aunt Landa Bethel Foundation’ Dr Yolanda remarked; “Words fail me! I really cannot express how I feel. The fact that every single person that came to the market square left with a smile is quite satisfying and I can only be grateful to God”

Commenting on his involvement, the fair chairman of the market square, Alibaba, remarked; “The Aunt Landa Market Square was a huge success. Over 14,000 people came out to shop, all for free. Even though I was part of the planning, I’m still speechless!”

Some of the dignitaries that were present at the market square include Alibaba, Lolo, Rev. Paul Chikwem, Lepacious Bose, Nikki Laoye, and many more.
