As Senate President, I will help President Tinubu to move Nigeria forward -Yari promises

…says he will listen to and pursue yearnings of Nigerians

A strong contender for the position of President of the 10th Senate, Abdul Aziz Yari has promised that if given the opportunity to serve as Senate President, he will help the administration of President Bola Tinubu to move Nigeria forward.

He said he wish to achieve this by having a stable Senate and a stable National Assembly.

This is as he said he will listen to and pursue the yearnings of Nigerians, adding that his leadership will be democratic, open and serve the interest of the masses.

The former governor of Zamfara State and Senator – elect to represent Zamfara ….senatorial district in the 10th senate gave these words of assurance at a breakfast media strategic meeting in Abuja on Wednesday.

He said “under my leadership the 10th Senate will have a cordial and purposeful relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to deliver his vision for a united and prosperous Nigeria”.

Yari added that himself and President Tinubu have come a long way and understand each other.

“I promise to at all times gives President Tinubu helping hands in moving this country forward.

“I will aggregate opinions to ensure that Nigeria come first and party come second,” he said.

The aspirant said he posses requisite experience and quality to lead the National Assembly to achieve cordial and complementary relationship with other arms of government, particularly, the Executive.

Speaking further on his sterling qualities, Yari said “I have strong connections across the 36 states and understand the nuances of the nation.

“I am assuring you that I have what it takes to make a difference .We will build constant synergy to unify our nation”.

Soliciting the support of his colleagues senators – elect, Yari called on them “to look beyond the clamour for zoning and religious considerations and support my aspiration to lead you inclusively as you please.

“I am calling on you to take a moment to ponder on my track records, competence, personal character and political life and make the right choice.

“I am calling on you to understand that an A.A. Yari Senate presidency will get you the best deal as true and equal colleagues and not as followers to a boss.

“I am calling on.my distinguished colleagues to elect me and be rest assured that my admixture of competence, experience, dexterity, amenability, and good conscience will get the job done for us senators and Nigerians”.

He, however, said there is an ongoing negotiation with the camps of senators Orji Uzor Kalu, Osita Izunaso and Sani Musa.
