Artisans, youths applauds FG over release of Chibok school girls

Youths under the auspices of Artisans and Association of Professional Plumbers of Nigeria, Lagos state branch have expressed happiness with the federal government over the release of 82 Chibok school girls kidnapped by Boko Haram sects.
The association’s governor-elect, Adeshina Ogunkoya, who spoke on behalf of the association, called on President Muhammadu Buhari and security agencies not to relent in their efforts to get the remaining abducted school girls in the captivity of the sects released.
Adesina said this recently at the Annual General Meeting and election of new officers to pilot the affairs of the association for the next three years with the theme: ‘Artisans, Youths and State of the Nation,’ held at the association’s secretariat in Erunwen, near Ikorodu, Lagos state.
According to the outgoing president, Mr. Olufemi Awotoye, who supervises the election, “there is nothing better than democracy; our election was conducted in the atmosphere of democratic system where campaigning, votes were allowed. It is the highest votes cast that carries the day.”
The newly elected officers are: Adeshina Ogunkoya, Governor; Lanre Adeleke, Deputy; Bayo Akerele, Secretary; Abanigo Cambridge Asst Sec, Azeez Oyelakin, treasurer 1; Stephen Olorundare, Fin Sec; Samson Omolade, PRO, among other officials.
Adeshina therefore advised members to strictly abide by the constitution of the association and guided by the constitution while in office for the association to make progress.
Speaking on behalf of elected officers, the first executive governor, Mr. Adeshina Ogunkoya thanked the National President on his advise and promised members that the newly elected executives will not disappoint the association but rather improve on what they met on the ground.
