Army offers free medical treatment to 1,830 persons in Sokoto
No fewer than 1, 830 people benefited from the free treatment offered by the Nigerian Army in a medical outreach organised in Wurno Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The outreach, which began on July 14 and ended on July 15, is part of activities to commemorate Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2018.
Beneficiaries were given polio vaccination, free insecticide mosquito nets besides routine health check-up and treatment during the programme, organised by army personnel from the newly established military hospital in the state.
Speaking at the event, General Officer Commanding 8 Division, Nigerian Army, Maj. Gen. Stevenson Olabanji, urged the beneficiaries to take advantage of the free medical outreach.
