Arewa Youth xenophobic: FCT President Ohaneze Calls for Calm

Amidst the fever of the Xenophobic call by, The president of FCT chapter of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Odozi Nwaodozi, has called for calm, has advised the youths of Igbo extraction living in the Northern part of the country to go their normal business with no fear.
The President FCT Chapter of Ohaneze, said this while engaged on exclusive interview with the Daily Times with regards to the debased world press conference held by the Youths at the Northern Nigeria.
Recall that the Igbos has in the history of Nigeria suffered this ethnic disparity and developmental neglect that has prompted the call for the balance and equitable sharing of the Nations resources.
Legislatures of South East extraction, has recently sponsored a motion at the National assembly, which was meant on addressing the huge developmental neglect and compensation to the wrath caused by the Nigerian Army during the civil war.
The FCT President Ohaneze Ndigbo, while calming the spirits of the Igbos across the North’s, reminded that the Igbos have never in history been toothless bulldogs.
He reaffirmed commitment of his office in seeing that Igbos are not pushed aside at any part of the North, thereby calling for strategic plan before reacting to seemingly xenophobic call.
His words, “After due consultations with strategic Igbo stake holders on the recent provocative seemingly xenophobic press statement by some misguided youth elements of Arewa extraction, asking Ndigbo to vacate the north before the 1st of October 2017.
It has been resolved that though their position is life threatening, Ndigbo at various part of the north shouldn’t join them in this path of dishonour. We should be calm and vigilant.
We urge all of you, to report all developments to Ohanaeze Ndigbo or any trusted security agency for immediate action”.
The FCT Ohaneze president also stated that Igbo leaders will be meeting soonest to chat the way forward for a lasting solution to the current situation.
