APGA stakeholders in Ogbaru assure Obiano of support

Members of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State have restated their unflinching support to Governor Willie Obiano and Dr. Victor Oye-led national leadership.

In a meeting at the party ‘s Local Government secretariat in Atani, the members of Ogbaru APGA Working Committee and party Executive as well as Ward Chairmen, Secretaries, Women leaders and Youth leaders among others from the 16 political Wards of the local government vowed to support Obiano to ensure he wins the November 18 governorship election.

The well-attended meeting was called by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Political Matters, Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu and had all the Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants on Political Matters from Ogbaru in attendance.

The meeting was called to form skeletal framework for a well-coordinated process that will lead to the party’s upcoming governorship primary already is slated for August 15, 2017. It is also according to Awogu to chart a course for the part members of the party in the Local Government would play in preparation for the upcoming primary and the election proper.
Arinze said some party members who were confused on the situation in the party were reassured that the party under the leadership of Dr. Victor Oye as the national chairman is very much on a sound footing.

The meeting cautioned those hobnobbing with Chief Martins Agbaso, as their actions were viewed as acts of ignorance since they might have been misled but that they must now retrace their steps.

The new leadership of Okpoko community led by the President General of the community, Hon. Eddy Emesinwa, stormed the meeting with large number of residents from Okpoko to register their loyalty and readiness to work for the re-election of Governor Obiano in Okpoko.

Hon. Eddy Emesinwa was on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 restored as the President General of Okpoko community after an Onitsha High court sacked the former Caretaker Committee led by Hon. Linus Ezenwanma.

Hon. Emesinwa and his new executive were warmly received and assured of Governor Willie Obiano’s acceptance of their emergence as one who believes in the rule of law.
Hon. Eddy Emesinwa and the Okpoko community thanked the governor for all his care for Okpoko people and pledged that they will only reciprocate his good gesture by ensuring that he wins landslide in Okpoko.
