APC’s Kuye wins Somolu House Of Reps seat In Lagos

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has finally declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ademorin Kuye as the winner of the controversial House of Representatives election in Somolu Federal Constituency.
The Returning Officer, Professor Ola Aluko who announced the result at the INEC collation centre in Somolu on Sunday, said Kuye polled 28, 722 to defeat his closest rival, Oluwaseyi Olowu, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who gathered 25,202.
“I hereby declare Kuye of APC, having satisfied the requirements of law and scored the highest number of votes, as the winner and he is returned elected.”
Aluko, had on Monday, Feb. 25 declared the election inconclusive as there was no clear winner in the election, a position that sent supporters of Olowu to the street in protest claiming that he had clearly won the election.
