APC’s in more trouble as Kano senator declares for deputy president

The conflict of interest rocking the leadership of the All Progressives Congress {APC} over who occupies key leadership positions in the 9th senate has further escalated as the senator representing Kano South Senatorial District, Kabiru Gaya, has formally declared his intention to contest the office of deputy president.

This is coming as Senator Danjuma Goje has on Thursday defiled the directives of the Adams Oshiomhole’s National Working Committee of the party by saying he is interested in the seat of the senate president.

Oshiomhole, a national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu and some others top officials of the APC have threatened to deal with any lawmaker that refused to abide by their zoning pattern in the emerging senate and house of representatives that would be inaugurated in June this year.

Senator Gaya who is coming to the senate for the fourth time on Thursday, saying he is the most ranking senator from the North-west geopolitical zone. Senator Gaya was Kano State governor in the early 1990s during the regime of military president Ibrahim Babangida.
