APC’ll Open Job Opportunities for Nigerian Youths – Odigie-Oyegun

Nigeria’s university products will soon have cause to smile, as the Buhari administration is prepared to provide job opportunities for them.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Oyegun, said, in his address, at the commencement ceremony of class of 2015, at the American University of Nigeria (AUN), Yola, where 230 students graduated, at various levels of studies – including master’s degree, post-graduate degree and first degree.

While congratulating the students, Oyegun urged them to consider themselves as agents of change for graduating at a time the country was witnessing a progressive shift with the emergence of APC government.

“You are graduates of change and you are going to be agents of change. Nigeria is waiting and ready for you”, Oyegun said.

On the occasion, the university conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree on an educationist, Mrs. Vicky Colbert, for the role she played in the development of education.

In her speech, the President of the University, Professor Margee Ensign, noted that as a developmental institution, AUN was concerned about the development of Nigeria and the entire Africa.

She noted that the graduating students were fortunate to pass through a notable institution urging them to use the knowledge, skills and technique they acquired to inject the desired development in Nigeria and Africa.

In his remarks, the representative of the Minister of Education, Prof Hamisu Mohammed, lauded AUN for its contribution to education in Nigeria.

Mohammed noted that the National University Commission (NUC) has approved some courses for the university and urged it to sustain the tempo of growth.
