The Ogun State APC Women Leader, Mrs Sade Giwa while speaking to Journalists said “On October 2nd we voted for Hon Abdul Kabir Akinlade during the primary election and he emerged as the winner. But the electoral committee announced Hon Dapo Abiodun as the winner, who was no were to be found during the election”.

“All women in Ogun State voted for Hon Kabir Akinlade during the election the Electoral committee should be warned, Adams Oshiomhole, should be warned, He should release our mandate, we give him till Friday to announce the result or else, by Saturday, we will meet at Abuja”.

The Women, who were armed with placards with various inscriptions, stormed the Arcade Ground within the state secretariat at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, around 10am.

Some of the inscriptions on the placards read, ‘We want justice in Ogun APC’, ‘Give us Triple A’, ‘Oshiomhole, Osinbajo, we want justice in Ogun State’ and a ‘Minority cannot take charge over majority’, among others.

Ogun State Deputy Governor, Chief Mrs Yetunde Onanuga, later addressed the protesters. She said, “We have seen all the messages on the placards. I want you to remain steadfast in your demand, nothing negative will happen to the mandate you have given to Akinlade.

“The elders and party leaders are looking into the matter. I want to urge you to continue to be peaceful, don’t fight anybody.

The protesters latter converged at the Nigeria Union of Journalists secretariat, Oke Ilewo, where they spoke with some Journalists.

They condemned what they termed the “determined mission of some NWC members to trample upon the wish of majorities in the State.
