ANSG partners church on projects

Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, has said his administration will continue to partner the church to enhance the social and economic transformation of the nation.

Governor Obiano stated this while addressing a prayer session organised by the Anglican Church in the state at the Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.

He commended the church for efficient utilisation of its resources in effecting development in all sectors of the economy.

Governor Obiano particularly appreciated the contributions of the church in promoting quality education and commercial agricultural production.

The Governor charged citizens to exercise their civic duties by voting during the gubernatorial election in the state.

Earlier in a sermon, an Anglican priest and former Minister of Power, Professor Chinedu Nebo, described the Anambra State election as important in the country and advised the electorate to ensure its success.

Venerable Nebo advised Christians to guard against patronising fake miracle workers but to approach God faithfully to find solutions to their problems.

He explained that only God had so solution to problems confronting humanity.

The Archbishop of the Province of the Niger, Most Reverend Christian Efobi, said the prayer was to seek the face of God in tackling national issues and to ensure a violence-free election in the state.

Also, the Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Right Reverend Alex Ibezim, challenged Christians to be active participants in the process of electing a credible leader to steer the ship of the state.
